Emma McGordon
Previous New Writing North’s Northern Young Writer of the Year, Emma McGordon is a skillful young poet with a canny eye on humanity, and the lives and tragedies of young people in contemporary Britain.
Emma trained in Journalism and studied English Literature at the University of Liverpool. She’s performed across Britain, from Latitude Festival to the Soho Theatre in London, and regularly at venues in the North West. Emma’s been published many times already, by publishers and magazines including Tall Lighthouse, New Writing North and Penned in the Margins.
As well as poetic pursuits, Emma is the Community Engagement Manager for Merseyside Community Theatre: Alt Valley 2010.
Emma will be joining the All Stars on stage for our Liverpool leg of the tour, at the Bluecoat.
