Spoken Word All Stars presents an all-star cast of some of the brightest poets of the day, performing an original live show in partnership with the super sax player Jason Yarde. -
A new wave of vibrant young poets are turning heads and catching the ears of people all over the country, enthralling them with carefully crafted words and tantalising tales performed to the highest standards.
Riding this wave, Poet in the City and Apples & Snakes, have joined forces to commission a stunning original show, to bring a taste of something new to audiences across Britain in 2010 and 2011.
The Project:
Our journey started at Latitude Festival in July 2010, and will visit venues including Manchester, Birmingham, London and many more.
Our mission is to present this energetic original show to poetry lovers and new audiences alike.
As well as live shows, we are also holding a series of interactive workshops in some local schools, to allow children to get involved and see a new side to poetry and performance arts.
