Poet in the City is currently putting in place a new programme of Poetry and Mental Health placements in secondary schools, building upon the successful programme run with the support of Wellcome Trust in 2007.
The new programme will be delivered by the arts and mental health charity Lapidus, and will receive support from Samaritans.
This important programme is designed to raise awareness of mental health and emotional intelligence issues amongst teenagers.
Lapidus and Poet in the City are currently in the process of selecting and training poets to take plart in the forthcoming programme.
