Poet in the City and Archives for London commissioned new poetry from seven leading UK poets to uncover the stories of London’s archives.

From World War One letters at the British Library, to St Paul’s Cathedral’s Blitz damage and the diary of a grave digger at the Royal College of Surgeons, this brand new poetry has led to the re-discovery of some amazing human stories.

This event featured Andrew Motion, David Harsent, Imtiaz Dharker, Mario Petrucci, Simon Jener, with readings of the poetry of Fiona Sampson and George Szirtes.
