The second event of the Deciphering the Alhambra series that celebrated the poetry, architecture and music of Andalucia, the beautiful southern region of Spain, still haunted by its Moorish past.

Ibn Arabí was born in Murcia (Spain) in 1165 and died in Damascus in 1240. He was one of the greatest Islamic mystics, whose philosophical ideas still permeate our thinking today.

This fabulous concert was a musical setting of a series of poems from The Interpreter of Desires, a summary of the thoughts of this great Sufi thinker, known by Muslims as ‘the great Master’.

The event featured Curro Piñana (singer) and Carlos Piñana (guitar).
