A fantastic start to National Poetry Day with Jo Shapcott and her poetry.

Jo Shapcott is one of the UK’s best loved poets whose collections include Electroplating the Baby (1988), Phrase Book (1992), and My Life Asleep (1998). The winner of numerous awards, she has also twice been winner of the National Poetry Competition.

Her latest book of poems, Of Mutability, published by Faber and Faber in July 2010, has been widely acclaimed, and she is hotly tipped to win one of this year’s Forward prizes for poetry, being announced on the day before National Poetry Day.
