An event in association with Modern Poetry in Translation and Amnesty International UK that featured poetry writtent by refugee and exile poets and writers, and by those who have been victims of torture and oppression.
Presented by David and Helen Constantine of Modern Poetry in Translation, this event featured:

Amit Chaudhuri, a distinguished poet, writer and musician

Helen Smith and F. Mehrban, an Iranian writer

Bernard O'Donoghue, Yousif Qasmiyeh, Jamie McKendrick and Dawood who read work from the new anthology See How I Land: Oxford Poets and Exiled Writers

and Carole Satyamurti, who read from her translation of the Mahabharata - a passage, from the woman's point of view, concerning the atrocity of war.
