A Meat of the Tongue series event that focused on poetry about the human body, its rhythms, desires, senses and dysfunctions by contemporary poets.

The poets featured at this event were:
Penelope Shuttle, a much acclaimed poet whose work includes a quasi-scientific study with the late poet Peter Redgrove about menstruation called "The Wise Wound"

Tishani Doshi, winner of the Forward Prize in 2006 for her collection "Countries of the Body", she writes about the body of the senses

Joanne Limburg, a warm and witty poet, who has an MA in Psychoanalytic Studies. She often writes about the body, and the mind's effects on it.
