17-25 New Inn Yard, London EC2A 3EA
Join poets from around the world to celebrate poetry and our right to freedom of expression.

As poets across the Middle East face persecution you can hear Imtiaz Dharker, winner of the Queen’s Gold Medal for poetry, poets John Paul O’Neill and Sabrina Mahfouz, and other Arabic language poets, along with Kuwaiti activist Dr Ghanim al-Najjar.

This event, which marks two years since an appeal court upheld a 15-year prison sentence for Mohammad al-Ajami for writing a poem, will be livestreamed to the Middle East.

The event is free but please book online.
