Poet in the City is delighted to present the highly acclaimed poet Helen Mort, this year’s host of the Poetry Breakfast, in this exclusive setting at the heart of literary Bloomsbury. Coffee, croissants and the very best of contemporary poetry will be served at this special event, providing the perfect start to National Poetry Day.

Five times winner of the Foyle Young Poets award, Helen Mort received an Eric Gregory Award from The Society of Authors in 2007, and won the Manchester Young Writer Prize in 2008. In 2010, she became the youngest ever poet in residence at The Wordsworth Trust, Grasmere. Her first full collection, Division Street, was published by Chatto & Windus in 2013, and shortlisted for both the TS Eliot Prize and the Costa Prize. She is studying for a PhD at The University of Sheffield and writes a blog, Poetry on the Brain, about her research into the connections between contemporary poetry and neuroscience.
