A fantastic cross-arts project between Lavender Hill Studios and Poet in the City, Poetry Portraits culminated in the creation a series of portraits featuring the poets who appeared in our 2014 season of events. These exclusive portraits painted by the talented artists at Lavender Hill went on to be sold at a high-profile charity auction in early 2015. A number of the portraits were bought by the famous Bloomsbury Hotel to be displayed in their poetry suites.

As part of the project, Poet in the City commissioned a series of short film-portraits. Each 3-minute film showed the artist sketching the poet, an interview of the poet and an intimate reading of the poet's own chosen poem.
